Simon Cowell – Using A Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber?!?

Thursday, December 13th, 2012

Strange and interesting article from the National Enquirer:

In one of his latest bids to turn back time, Simon had his saggy “turkey neck” tightened in a noninvasive procedure by a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon in October, said the source.

The neck-lift was likely done with the new Fractora Firm device, said Michigan-based plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn, who has not treated Cowell. The device uses radio frequency energy to create tissue-firming collagen under the skin.

After the treatment, “Simon brought a technician  with a portable hyperbaric chamber into his Beverly Hills home,” said the insider. “He spent about an hour a day in the chamber for a period of weeks. He usually fell asleep, and when he got out, he said he felt like a new man.

“Simon believes that being in the chamber helped suppress the swelling from his surgery as well as bloating from his drinking and years-long smoking habit.”

Since I’ve never treated Simon, I can’t say for sure what he had done.  I do commend him for being candid with his Botox use.  Overall, he looks like he’s aging very well.  But hyperbaric oxygen chamber?  There are no studies that prove that hyperbaric oxygen reverses aging.

Bagel Face and Simon Cowell Placenta Facials

Monday, December 3rd, 2012

Here is a video from a recent Fox News segment I did on the bizarre Japanese phenomenon of the Bagel Face and rumors that Simon Cowell is undergoing placenta facials. The visuals of the bagel face are incredible! Who thinks up this stuff??

Fox 2 News Headlines

This is a segment I filmed with the lovely Deena Centofanti for Fox 2 Detroit. Did you know some people in Japan are injecting saline into their foreheads to make them look like Bagel Heads? Or that Simon Cowell is reportedly getting Sheep Placenta Facials? I discuss it here!

Simon Cowell – Botox?

Tuesday, June 28th, 2011

The Daily Mail is reporting that Simon Cowell recently surprised viewers of Britain’s Got Talent by showing up with a droopy left eyelid and a bruise near his cheek.  Rumors have run rampant that Simon’s had Botox injections gone wrong.

I haven’t seen video of Simon, but photos like the one to the left, while impressive-looking, can be manipulated.  It’s pretty uncommon to develop a significant droopy eyelid from Botox, especially if it’s performed conservatively and by a well-trained practitioner.  Although there is no real antidote for Botox except the passage of time, certain eye drops may slightly improve a droopy eyelid.

Kim Cattrall and Simon Cowell Use Botox, But No Plastic Surgery

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

Sex and the City (and Mannequin 1) Actress Kim Cattrall and American Idol judge Simon Cowell have both copped to using Botox as a way to stave off father time. According to MakeMeHeal.com, Ms. Cattrall stated,

“I’m too terrified to get any proper work so I’ve had just little things done. I have a big crease between my eyebrows and I use Botox to get rid of that, but that’s kind of it.”

Simon Cowell stated something very similar recently, according to TMZ.com:

What about plastic surgery? Has Cowell gone under the knife?

“No, absolutely not. I have not had cosmetic surgery,” he sniggers. “Yes, I’ve had Botox, but not in an obsessive way. Then again, every guy I know who works in the City has had it now.”

In the photos above, you can see an absence of frown lines between the eyebrows and in the foreheads of both celebrities. Their plastic surgeons have done nice jobs. In other news, Nicole Kidman has finally admitted to having Botox too……..just kidding.

Hugh Hefner and Simon Cowell on Plastic Surgery

Thursday, June 14th, 2007

Two prominent male celebrities have recented commented on men having plastic surgery, with vastly different opinions.

According to Hollyscoop.com, Hugh Hefner recently stated,

“I’m thinking of having a little face-lift. There is nothing wrong with plastic surgery. I think it is absolutely fine for men – I have already had teeth implants, and a few years ago I had a neck tuck. We are dealing with a whole different set of things physically now because we live so much longer.”

A contrasting view was also recently stated by none other than Simon Cowell. According to the Post Chronicle, the American Idol judge recently stated,

“I wouldn’t have plastic surgery, it looks ridiculous on guys. I’d never dye my hair either. Everyone thinks I do, but I never have. I do 100 press-ups before I get in the bath in the morning, then at work after a meeting, I’ll shut the door and do more.”

While I usually agree with Simon on his criticisms of American Idol contestants, I would have to disagree with him here. A good example of good male plastic surgery is Hugh Hefner, whose neckline a couple of years ago did look unnaturally sharp for a man his age. It does appear to have gotten looser over the last few years, however. I find this not to be too uncommon for people who have face or neck lifts in their 70′s or 80′s. Because the skin has lost its elasticity with age, the results don’t last as long as someone in their 50′s. Sorry Simon, I don’t want to patronize you, but plastic surgery can look good in men if done well!
