Funny FatBooth App – See How You’d Look 100 Lbs Heavier

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

There’s an iPhone app for everything these days! The newest one is the FatBooth iPhone App that allows you to see how you’d look like if you doubled in size. Somehow Megan Fox still looks pretty good!

Check out some celebs made fat (like George Clooney) on the slideshow here. I’d buy this app if I had an iPhone, but I’m sure it’s not available on my Blackberry Storm. Bummer.

If anyone picks this up and has a chance to put my photo in it, please send along and I may post it on this site! I’ll probably look like Margaret Cho.

See How You Might Look in 20 Years

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

If you want to be depressed, check out in20years.com where you can upload a photo of yourself and see what you might look like in 20 years. I hope I don’t look like that when I am 57!

From a plastic surgeon/aging expert’s perspective… that actually looks pretty realistic. As depressing as that may be!

Thanks to Cosmetic-Makeovers.com for the link!

Extreme Makeover and the Swan

Wednesday, August 9th, 2006

I was excited to see the first episode of the new Extreme Makeover this past Thursday night on ABC. Unfortunately, ABC cancelled it at the last minute and instead broadcast reruns of Gray’s Anatomy. Bummer. Although I am partial to E!’s Dr. 90210, I do hope ABC finds a spot on their schedule for this show. I am not as fond of the Swan, which I thought was more of a freakshow. This was filmed during the time I was practicing in Beverly Hills. At the time I heard rumors of major complications in some of the Swan’s contestants, who had apparently been overoperated on. This information never made it to the show’s broadcast. Although I haven’t heard official word about this, I do believe that the Swan’s propensity to make everyone look the same (Overarched eyebrows, long curly hair, big lips, large chest, and tiny waist) was a bit disturbing. It is important to retain some of the characteristics that make each of us unique, otherwise everyone will end up looking like Brad Pitt and Pamela Anderson (or Burt Reynolds and Joan Rivers).

Star Jones – plastic surgery

Tuesday, June 27th, 2006

Star Jones announced today she’s leaving the View. Everyone knows that she and the new host, Rosie O’Donnell, don’t get along. I hear that some of it stems from Star’s refusal to acknowledge gastric bypass surgery as the source of her massive weight loss.

As Star has lost more and more weight, her face has become more and more gaunt. In most people this is a natural part of the aging process, however with Star it has been vastly acclerated due to her weight loss. The best treatment for this is fat grafting, or transfer. I’d recommend taking some fat from her butt (or thighs or tummy) and tranferring it to her cheeks to give her more youthful fullness. It’s a short surgery (only about an hour) and would look fantastic for her, although it would not improve her personality. Plus, she will have the time off soon to recuperate (takes 2 weeks).
