Cyndi Lauper – Chemical Peel, Facelift?

What has happened to Cyndi Lauper’s face?  It definitely looks painful.  Her publicist said she had a ‘bad reaction to a spa treatment.’  If so, that’s some pretty hefty spa treatment.  I bet she had a chemical peel to smooth and tighten her skin.  This is a common appearance after a deep peel, but usually heals very nicely within a week or two.  I think she’s going to look fabulous.

As an aside, if you look closely near her ears you may spot a possible scar from a possible facelift surgery.  Either that, or it’s the line separating the peeled skin from the not-peeled skin.  Whichever it is, I don’t believe her face is her True Color, as it’s probably settled down nicely by now.

    That image reminds of the episode in Sex and the City where Samantha had a deep peel and had to wear a black hat and veil to appear in public. Honesty is so undemanding and relaxing. When I have my eyebrow tattoo retouched, I simply say that’s what I had done and there are no more comments. And when I have my eyes done (for my birthday, May 2), I’ll say that I had my eyes done.

    Is it okay that she is out in bright sunlight without a hat and sunglasses to protect her skin?
